PORTARLINGTON TO PORT LINCOLN SA

We left home at 6.30am on Easter Sunday (it was really 5.30am with the clocks turned back and the end of Daylight Saving).

The car and van all packed and ready to go
We drove as far as Norma & Raymond's at Overland Corner SA (about 750klms). I was too keyed up to sleep on Saturday night so spent the first half of Sunday snoozing in the car.
We left Overland Corner around 7.30am on Tuesday and drove as far as Kimba, passing through the towns of Morgan and Burra (where we stopped for morning tea).
Morning tea at Burra
Again we stopped to take photos of this most awesome scene. Last year we took photos in August and the grass was so green. Look how dry it is now.

Just love this amazing sight
Then continuing on through Spalding, Crystal Brook, Port Pirie, Port Augusta (where we stopped for lunch) and then finally Kimba. We were the first to arrived and about half an hour later Tony and Barbara turned up. We were just setting up when a lovely old guy named Rob Miller came over and told us about the Lions/Apex Club grounds just out of the centre of town. He said it was much quieter and larger and still free. So we packed up and moved. There were quite a few vans and motorhomes already there but there was plenty of room for us.
The following morning it was decided to drive down to Port Lincoln and stay a couple of days which is where we are now. Tomorrow we will take a flask and some sandwiches and spend the whole day exploring! We might even get to Coffin Bay for fresh oysters ... yum for some. Stay tuned and bye for now.
