We arrived in Mt Isa and started looking for a Caravan Park. The first one didn't have much shade so we continued on to the next one where we decided to book in for 3 nights (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and leave Friday morning). We set up the vans and then went into town. We had to stock up on food and drink. It's so great to have electricity again so we can charge everything up.
On Wednesday we had a leisurely day not doing much at all. That night we were woken up by shouting and screaming. The house directly behind our van on the other side of the fence were having a party. It must have got out of hand and the noise went on for hours. I had to get the ear plugs out it was so bad.
Then today we did some last minute shopping for things we forgot, filled up the fuel tanks and jerry cans and then went up to the lookout to take some shots overlooking the city and beyond to the mine.
There is a signpost at the lookout which shows the kilometres to many cities of the world. Below are a few photos of all of us.

When we got back to the park I started cooking dinner - Chow Min. I didn't want to cook it in the van because the curry would leave a smell in it. So as there was a tree stump next to our van I placed the stove on it and cooked outside.
It worked and whoever was outside would give the pot a stir.
It was delish, and there is enough left for tomorrow night. The pic below is our vans side by side. Arnold is sitting outside waiting to stir the pot again.
I probably won't be able to update the blog for a few days as we wont have service. Bye for now. Please leave a comment.
