AND SO OUR JOURNEY BEGINS

We left home at 7.30am on Sunday 30th March.

Travelling as far as Tocumwal we met up with Ron and Lorraine who were staying at Town Beach on the Murray River.  We got there at  1.00pm and found a spot in the shade under a rather large tree. (That’s our rig in the foreground with R&L’s across from us)

After a dinner of yummy eye fillet and salad we joined R & L sitting around the fire and chatting until late.

The next morning (31st March) we left and made our way to a freecamp at Marsden near Forbes. It was a great spot.  About 10 vans and and a few trucks.  We had a great sunset turning the sky red.

In the morning (1st April) we had our breakfast and left by 8.45am.  We probably did the most k's this day and stayed at a freecamp just before Narrabri.  It was a very large area and quite a few trucks came and went during the night but that didn't bother us.  It was good company.
This day (2nd April) we got to Moree. It was about 11.00am when we booked in to the Gwydir Thermal Pools Caravan Park.  We set up the van then got changed and went to the pools.

We stayed there for about an hour (our skin started to shrivel) then went back to the van, got changed again and drove into Moree to have a look around.  On the way back to the van we decided to have Maccas and not have too much for dinner.  When we got back we changed again and had another great time going from one pool to the other.

Tomorrow will probably be the same as today.

Bye for now.  Goodnight.
